WORDS OF WISDOM

Graphic novels are not traditional literature, but that does not mean they are second-rate. Images are a way of writing. When you have the talent to be able to write and to draw, it seems a shame to choose one. I think it's better to do both.

CREATIVITY DOESN'T TAKE A HOLIDAY

We may not be able to go out and enjoy a movie or play or performance but we can create. No limit on that. I have been doing much writing and reading. I am also working on creating an internet program. I'm very sure that parents have found creative ways to keep their children engaged.

CORONAVIRUS

With everything on lockdown, I caution all to take care of yourselves.

If you are sick, see the doctor.

Drink plenty of water, vegetable, and fruit juices

Check upon friends and neighbors.

This is a stressful time so see a therapist or counselor if you are triggered by all this.

TAKE CARE!    THIS WILL BE OVER SOON ENOUGH.

A DELICIOUS THING

WORDS OF WISDOM

These are the soul's changes. I don't believe in ageing. I believe in altering one's aspect to the sun. Hence my optimism.

CARRY PLENTY OF THEM AND A NOTEBOOK

TROUBLED TIMES CAN BRING OUT THE BEST WRITING

With the coronavirus limiting travel there will be plenty of time for writing. I have written a number of poems over the past few days. Troubled times can bring out the best in writing. My best poetry was written during a troubling time in my life. Loss, abandonment, and then redemption were constant themes. Through all this turmoil I came out a different person.

I'm using this time to challenge that all writing has to come at a precise moment in time. I write all the time and it has helped me to improve my storytelling. Poetry has been a wonderful genre for me personally. Hey, may a play or a horror story is in the offering.

GETTING STARTED

VULNERABILITY

Many of my favorite writers suffered much. Loss of loved ones, madness, loneliness, alcoholism, depression, and alienation. Through their frailties and vulnerability, they created some of the greatest literature ever written. When a writer shares something of his/her life, they become vulnerable. I understand this now.

After beat writer, Jack Kerouac's book, On The Road, became the best selling book, his fears were magnified. He wanted to be a well-regarded author without all the frivolities of fame. His next book, Dharma Bums, is my favorite because I believe Kerouac was at his best seeking for truth. He preferred a quiet life.

I am willing to become vulnerable because it shows that I have frailties also. I am more than the sum of my parts. It's why I like quirky and unusual characters. I'm my own life it seems that they gravitate toward me for some reason. Maybe I'm unusual and am now better understanding it.

WORDS OF WISDOM

JUST WRITE

WORDS OF WISDOM

Very early in life I became fascinated with the wonders language can achieve. And I began playing with words.
