Rewriting A Previously Written Novella

I have written a novella only to realize that it needs to be changed. I posted recently that I need to write from a transgender perspective. Implementing this perspective in the already written novella just came out of the blue. Hmm, maybe it didn't. It's going to be a challenge but I want to do it.

Taking A Different Route

My writing is taking a turn in another direction. As some of you may or may not know, I am a transgender person who sees life from a different set of lenses. I never want to pigeon hole to being just a transgender writer. I write commentaries, essays, short stories, poetry, and op-ed on occasion.

What has transpired is the need to write from the transgender perspective. I never chose this, it just happened. Possibly it's the impetus I need to get out of my comfort zone. I do need that from time to time. Being involved with theater, acting, and improv has sparks this desire.  I have begin implementing this in my writing.

A Lot of WRITING

I've been doing much writing the past few days. Have written a commentary, a couple of stories, and a play. I been doing some acting (actually enjoy it). Now I'm mulling over writing a horror story. As you can see there's much on my plate.

A Hidden Gem

I found the 192 Book Store one day while walking along 10th Avenue. I didn't think there was much on this street but I was wrong. I went into the store and saw some excellent resources. This west side store is a real gem.

Goals for 2016

At the beginning of each year I set goals of the things that I will accomplish during the coming year. I don't have all of mine listed yet but one of them is to write three commentaries a week. One thing to guard against is to burden myself with too many goals. It's better to do a few things well than many goals just average.
