CHERISH THE SUNSET

Watching the sunset is one of the many wonders of nature. It signals the end pf another day, whether it was good or a disaster.

One way I see a sunset is when there are changes to be made in my life. The old is going. Old habits, thoughts and viewpoints. New habits will need to be cultivated. Perhaps there are new people to meet, new experiences to go through. No two sunsets are alike.

William Shakespeare's HAMLET is my favorite of all his plays. Hamlet see the sun setting on the world he's always known. He laments the new world coming. Instead of embracing the sunset, he finds himself caught between two different worlds.

Sunsets aren't gloom and doom. Like the chapter in a book, the story ends but a new one may be waiting. If it is the end of the book, my viewpoint and are different from when I started. I cherish the sunset because I'm different from when the day began.
