Weekend Was Busy

This past weekend was active for me. On Friday, I participated in a performance with the Transgenerational Theater Project at Sage. Transgender and non conforming people of all ages performed in three acts sharing the story of their lives. I participated in the family scene playing the part of a grandparent who accepts their grand child as a transman.

On Saturday I read poems at ta queer space in Brooklyn. The Moon Show is where queer and non conforming people can display their m, an organization of queer and non conforming people can display their talents. Comedy, music, poetry reading, and storytelling were in plenty supply. I was invited to a performance last year by a friend. My spouse and I have read or performed in a few of the shows. I love this wonderful space.

Yesterday I was a reflector at church during the evening service. Comfort was my topic. I am a Christian and have seen the goodness of God in my life since my sister passed a month ago. I had thought about sharing on this topic a couple of weeks prior to her passing.
