Writer's Bloc? Maybe Not

I noticed that my wife struggled to create a story she could write. For days she kept thinking what to put down and came away with one sentence. Last night, she was finally able to begin a story.

Does this sound familiar? We writers know what this is. Writer's bloc? Maybe, but not necessisarily. It could be that we may need to slow down and take stock. Writing is not a sprint to see how much you can write. It's how you can convey what your story is about to your readers. That's why editing is so important. A misplaced word, sentence, or paragraph can affect the story.

I have been going over some stories I wrote years ago. Some will stay as they are written. Others can be improved upon. I'm always looking for ways to write better. I guess that's true with all writers. The challenge of creating a new piece of writing is exhilerating.
