GET THAT STORY WRITTEN

I have rewritten whole stories. I have edited stories over thirty times or just once,which is rare. The point is to get something on paper. Each time you edit, you improve your spelling, diction, and storytelling. A blank page is just that- a blank page.

PATIENCE

Patience is a good virtue to have. It's one thing to go gungho with a writing project. It's quite another to let the story develop. I will write something, then let it set for the next day. Sometimes I will use what I have written. Other times I may rewrite the whole thing.

Writing reminds me of the tortoise and the hare. One may start fast but it's patience and perseverance that wins out. I choose quality over quantity.
